In the late 90's being a true Mapuans the idea of organizing an asssociation stirred up in the heart of some people who worked hard to make it a reality.

Among them are the two Mapuans from B.C. Dom Tolentino & Alex Roxas who brought with them an indomitable pride of being a true Mapuans, Calgarian pioneers Roger Encarnacion, Jose Abesamis, Bobby DeGuzman, Leon Monzon, Cezar Caparino, Cezar Jorge, Tony Cejalvo, Danny Eustaquio, Robert Gutierez & Danny Gavino.

The name Mapua Alumni Association, Alberta Chapter was unanimously adopted & bylaws approved in Jan 2001 using the NAMABC format & finally registered & approved by the Alberta government on April 30, 2001, at latter stage many new faces came & went among them are Ben Ang, Espie Forbes, Zeny Wright, Boy DeLeon, Jiggs Bascon, Ed Juan, Joey Carabeo, Bert DeGuzman & many more not to mention at all.

We acknowledge the pioneering spirit of our BC counterparts for rekindling our sense of identity as Mapuans.
